The BE-LIGHT network invites applications for 11 PhD positions
BE-LIGHT will provide top level training to 11 Researchers in photonic technologies that will be complemented with artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational imaging and modelling. A close-to-the-clinic approach will allow them to advance the field of biomedicine, with the ultimate goal of improving the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in three main areas: visual health, cardiovascular health and analysis of cells and tissues using super-resolution microscopy.
BE-LIGHT’s multi-skill training program will provide the researchers with the complete set of skills that are nowadays key for their success in both academic and non-academic sectors. They will also obtain experience of clinical and commercialization processes, opening for them a wide range of high-quality job opportunities.
HORIZON–MSCA–2022–DN EU funding imposes strict eligibility conditions. At the time of recruitment, the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity in the country of the host institute (i.e.: if applying for a position in Germany, he/she must not have been a resident in Germany for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her recruitment under the project).
Top-level graduates in physics, engineering or computer science are encouraged to apply. No discrimination will be made on the basis of nationality, gender, race, religion or disability. BE-LIGHT aims at increasing the fraction of women in science and female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
