2nd BE-LIGHT School and Hands-on Training 4 have taken place

In May 2025, the vibrant city of Gdańsk became the stage for an unforgettable week of learning, collaboration, and cultural discovery 🌍💡.

The journey started with Hands-on Training 4 (HoT4) on May 15–16, where the fellows immersed themselves in deep learning fundamentals, Transformers & Vision Transformers, denoising & super-resolution techniques, and Explainable AI 🤖🧠.

From May 19–23, the Second BE-LIGHT School brought together fellows and researchers for advanced courses on optoacoustic imaging 🔬, super-resolution microscopy 🧫, computational neuroscience 🧠, laser therapy 🔥, and AI for machine vision 🤖. They also joined sessions on wellbeing in academia 🧘‍♀️, science communication 🎤, and AI-assisted tools 🔎.

The week ended with sightseeing tours through historic Gdańsk 🏰 and a lovely group dinner by the sea in Sopot 🌊🍽️.

On May 23, 2025, we wrapped up the second BE-LIGHT School in Poland with an amazing day at the Baltic Science Festival! 🚀
Each fellow recorded a short video explaining their work, which played on screens as they stood by their posters, engaging the public and sparking curiosity in the next generation of scientists. 🎥🔬
